In Part 1 of this series, we have discussed how the EtherCards project is at the frontier of the NFT Space and bringing in new utilities for everybody else to follow and build upon in the future. We talked about what are the different benefits the project plans to deliver in the coming days.

Types of Cards

  • Founder Cards

The founder cards will have serial numbers from 0 to 9. They are kept with the team. To remove any conflict, these cards will not have any special abilities, except for rarity and sentimental value.

  • OG Cards

The OG Cards will have serial numbers from 10 to 99. They have a 3x chance to get a rare trait and hence will have significant value in the ecosystem.

  • Alpha Cards

The Alpha cards will have serial numbers from 100 to 999. They have a 2x chance of getting rare traits.

  • Common Cards

The Common cards will have serial numbers from 1000 to 9999. Their probability to receive rare traits is lesser than that of Alpha and OG cards.

Note that for the Pre-Sale cards the traits will be revealed just before the public sale and also for the public-sale cards, the cards will be minted on purchase. The cards need to be stored in your address and a smart contract will automatically drive the features and execute them. All these will happen according to the traits you possess.

Types of traits by functionality

The most prominent traits include:

  • Launch Traits

Launch traits will never expire. Hence it is good to get in early. Many of these traits are perpetual and will not be distributed after the initial sale of 10,000 tickets.

  • Utility Traits

Utility traits will provide benefits to the platform. They will later be rolled over to other platforms too.

Free Services

The free service trait will give you free access to any or all of the services which the platform provides. For example, a trait might give you access to create tickets without paying the setup fees.

Discounts

Owners of this trait can get up to a 25% discount on sales in the store. So you will be able to access services at a cheaper rate.

Note: these perpetual discount tokens are not going to be made anymore. Like many other traits, they can only be acquired during this initial issuance.

Extra Tickets

For each raffle you participate you can get more than the number of tickets you opted for.

Get Lucky

Get lucky increases the odds of you finding a rare card in a blind bag.

  • Vanity Traits

Vanity traits are very special traits handed over only to the team or early supporters during launch. These traits do not have any functionality currently but these will be added later.

  • Commission Traits

Commission traits will give you a cut of the platform revenue stream. If you get such traits you will have to go through a KYC & AML check to switch on the revenue stream.

Commissions

Only 111 cards will have an exclusive trait of receiving a cut of the platform commission. This will be randomly selected.

• 1 card will receive 1%

• 10 cards will receive 0.1% each

• 100 cards will receive 0.01% each

Note: The above is excluding the initial 10,000 card sale revenue.

  • Phoenix

This special trait is distributed only to the presale buyers and holds unknown benefits that nobody else will have.

The EherCards Sale

25% of the cards were sold in the Pre Sale. Now the main sale is scheduled for the 18th of March at 1 pm GMT.

The pricing of the cards will be as per below:

• OG Cards: Will start with 30 ETH and increase up to 55 ETH following a bell curve

• Alpha Cards: Will start with 5 ETH and increase up to 25 ETH following a bell curve

• Common Cards: Will start with 0.3 ETH and increase up to 5 ETH following a bell curve

The Phoenix Trait holder will receive ongoing NFT Drops from the EtherCards artists.

Conclusion:

The EtherCards still looks primitive, however, it is one of the most advanced in terms of current NFT utilities. People will follow it and will build upon it. The NFT journey has just started and we are in the front seat.
